We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
This policy applies to all apps developed by Brightgrain LLC unless a specific app states otherwise.
Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide or Create in Our Apps
Depending on the app and the features you use, our apps may store information needed to provide core functionality, such as:
- Anonymous device-generated user identifiers
- Gameplay responses, scores, progress, favorites, or streaks
- User-submitted content, such as question suggestions

- Group, circle, or sharing-related information used to support shared app features
We collect only the information needed to provide and improve the features you choose to use.
2. Personal Information
Some Brightgrain apps are designed to avoid collecting personal information. Other apps, such as apps with sharing, groups, uploaded content, or account-based features, may require limited account or profile information to operate.
We do not sell personal information. We also do not collect sensitive information such as precise location, contacts, or health information unless an app feature clearly requests it and it is needed for that feature.
3. Automatically Collected Technical Data
When using our apps, we may receive limited technical information such as:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Crash logs and diagnostic data, including information provided by Apple
This information is used to improve app stability, performance, and reliability.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve app functionality
- Save user preferences, progress, favorites, inventory, or app content
- Support shared features such as groups, circles, or item availability
- Generate anonymous or aggregated statistics where applicable
- Identify and fix bugs, crashes, or performance issues
- Protect the safety, reliability, and integrity of our apps
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Our apps may use third-party services that process limited data on our behalf, including:
- Apple for App Store distribution, TestFlight, crash diagnostics, and related platform services
- Supabase for backend data storage, authentication, database functionality, and file storage where applicable
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and security practices.
App-Specific Notes
Hypothetically Speaking
Hypothetically Speaking stores anonymous app data such as answers, favorites, daily challenge progress, and submitted question suggestions. It does not require your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location.
ThreadShare
ThreadShare may store information related to shared closet and inventory features, including item names, categories, sizes, photos you upload, availability status, group or circle membership, and related app activity needed to support sharing and organization features.
Data Retention
We retain app data for as long as needed to provide app functionality, maintain records, support shared features, or generate anonymous aggregate statistics. You may delete an app at any time to remove data stored locally on your device. Data stored in cloud-backed features may remain unless deleted through the app or by contacting us.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of our apps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
